2. Thyroid issues

Cauliflower contains substances that can interfere with your pup’s healthy thyroid function. These substances are called goitrogens and can affect dogs negatively if they eat cauliflower in large quantities (article).

3. Kidney stones

Cauliflowers are moderately high in calcium. If your pup is prone to kidney issues or urinary tract infections, it can be hazardous for them to consume cauliflower. The calcium in them can lead to the development of kidney stones.

4. Allergies

Now, cauliflower rice is not processedprocessed, but it is just finely ground cauliflower (article). So, it provides the same nutrients that the veggie itself can provide. It is perfectly fine for your fluff ball to eat cauliflower rice. 

However, dogs should only eat a small amount of cauliflower rice. And it should be plain, boiled, or steamed, with no spices or salts. If you wish, you can add some vegetable puree to it.
